Many will spend this weekend baking up a storm, but some of us prefer a quick and easy treat.<\/p>\n

BBC Good Food’s chocolate chip mug cake is the perfect Friday night treat if you’re having a cosy night in.<\/p>\n

Anybody can make it – it’s super easy, taking just 10 minutes to put on the table (including prep and cooking).<\/p>\n

BBC Good Food said: “Lower your energy use by baking this chocolate chip cookie pudding in the microwave. It takes just 10 minutes to make \u2013 perfect for a speedy dessert for one.”<\/p>\n

This recipe makes one cake but you can make as many as you like if you have company.<\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/strong><\/h3>\n

15g unsalted butter
15g light brown soft sugar
One egg yolk (freeze the white for another recipe)
1\/4 tsp vanilla extract
25g plain flour
A pinch of baking powder
15g milk chocolate chips
Ice cream, to serve (optional)<\/p>\n
