Vegetable Upma

Who doesn’t love a quick breakfast morning and healthy,for me breakfast is very important i cannot skip . This one is easy as you keep everything ready it doesn’t take much time to prepare. I like it to be soft and little wet not too dry so i add little extra water and ghee .


  1. 1 Cup Rava / Semolina
  2. 1/4 Cup Carrots
  3. 1/4 Cup Peas
  4. 1/4 Cup Beans
  5. 1 Onion chopped
  6. 1 Tomato Chopped
  7. 3 Cup hot water or more
  8. to taste Salt
  9. Oil and Ghee
  10. 2 Green Chilli
  11. 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
  12. 1 tsp Mustard
  13. 2 Dry red Chilli
  14. leaf Curry
  15. leaf Coriander and Mint


  1. First Roast rava in some ghee and remove from pan. In same Pan add some oil add Mustard,curry leaf,Red Chilli and add chopped onion sauté well then add ginger garlic paste.

  2. Then add all chopped veg and sauté well for few minutes add salt to taste,add some coriander and mint leaves (not too much) add tomato. Once all veg is cooked add hot water and boil for while.

  3. Now add salt and adjust (i taste the water to be salty) Then add the rava and mix well and close lid for while till done.

  4. Now mix well and add some ghee at end.
