Spinach and white cheese borek


  1. 4 sheets phyllo pastry
  2. 200 g white cheese
  3. 1 cup frozen spinach (thawed and squeezed well)
  4. Black pepper
  5. Egg wash:
  6. 1/2 cup milk
  7. 1 egg
  8. Olive oil


  1. Mix the fillings ingredients, spinach, cheese and pepper

  2. Add olive oil to the pan used

  3. Whisk the egg and the milk well and set aside

  4. Add the 4 sheets of phyllo dough in the pan leaving the edges out and brush the last layer with the egg wash

  5. Add the filling

  6. Close the dough over the fillings and brush with the egg wash

  7. And cook on the stove and flip to the other sides until golden brown
