INGREDIENTS

  • 3cupswhite flour
  • 1tablespoonbaking powder
  • 1teaspoonbaking soda
  • 1teaspoonsalt
  • 2tablespoonssugar
  • 1 12 cupsbuttermilk
  • 12 cupplain yogurt
  • 1egg
  • 1teaspoongarlic powder
  • 1tablespoon minced fresh garlic
  • 13 cupmixed fresh herbs, minced(oregano, thyme, sage, parsley)
  • 1green onion, finely sliced green part only
  • 13 cupolive oil

    DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 350* and coat 9” loaf pan with butter.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar and garlicpowder. Make a well in the center and set bowl aside.
  • In another bowl, gently whisk together buttermilk ,yogurt, egg, garlic, herbs and olive oil. Pour into well of dried ingredients and mix together until just combined and dough looks shaggy.
  • Pour batter into 9” pan. Bake bread until top is golden brown and slightly cracked, about 55-60 minutes.
  • Let bread rest in pan about 30 minutes before removing from the pan to completely cool.
