Magic Mushroom Sauce

Ok, so the mushrooms won’t make you feel funny, but this sauce is magical; it can be used on burgers, steaks, mashed potatoes and more!


  1. 2 cups mushrooms chopped
  2. 1/3 cup green onions
  3. 1/4 cup butter
  4. 1/4 cup red wine
  5. 2 cups beef broth
  6. 1 tbspn flour
  7. 1 tspn salt
  8. 1/2 tspn thyme


  1. Chop and sauté mushrooms ? with butter on medium heat in sauce pan for about 5 minutes

  2. Chop and add green onions and thyme, sauté until mushrooms are soft and whites of green onions are clear

  3. Add red wine, reduce

  4. Mix flour with beef broth, add to sauce pan and bring to boil

  5. Add salt ?reduce heat, and stir until thick.
