Indian baby gourd

With so many names this amazing vegetable has very delicious face too

Ingredients

  1. 7-8 baby pumpkin or Indian baby gourd
  2. 1 big crushed onion
  3. 3-4 pieces garlic and ginger estimated
  4. 2 big red tomatoes chopped
  5. 2 green chili chopped
  6. I tablespoon salt
  7. 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  8. Pinch black pepper powder
  9. 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
  10. 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  11. 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  12. 1 tablespoon garam masala
  13. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  14. 1 tablespoon turmeric

Steps

  1. Peel the gourds and cut into four pieces

  2. Now in a cooker put some cooking oil and roast ginger+garlic+green chilli+cumin seeds

  3. Now make them brown and add chopped onion

  4. Roast it 5 to 6 minutes and add tomatoes with all spices left

  5. Now stir the masala at very low flame for 10 to 12 minutes

  6. Now add diced gourds and turn the cooker close

  7. Let sit for 2 whistles and garnish with coriander leaves
