Halušky are a traditional variety of thick, soft noodles or dumplings cooked in the Central and Eastern European cuisines. Halušky can refer to the dumplings themselves, or to the complete dish.
Ingredients

- 250 ml kefir
- 0,5 tsp Salt
- 0,5 tsp Baking powder
- 3 cup Wheat flour

- For chicken sauce
- 500 gr chicken meat (fillet)
- 40 gr Butter
- 200 ml Sour cream
- 1 pcs Onion
- 1 pc Carrot
- to taste Salt, pepper
Steps
Chicken fillet cut into small pieces, fry 5 minutes.
Onion cut into half rings, carrot cut into strips. Put the vegetables together with meat.
After 10 minutes add sour cream, simmer for another 15 minutes. Salt, pepper to taste.
At this time we prepare the dough. Mix flour with baking powder (soda) and salt, add kefir and knead the dough.
The dough should stick a little in your hands, add flour as needed.
Divide the dough into 3 parts. make each “sausage” and cut each strip into small pieces.If you want halushki were more softer cook better in steam. But it is possible also cook in the boiled water, for 1-2 minutes.
Serve with meat sauce.
