Ingredients
- 1/2 pound broccoli
- 1 cup carrot
- 1/2 of an onion (medium)
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1/4 cup flour
- to taste Salt and pepper
- 5 TBS butter
- 8 Oz sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 2 cups Half and Half cream
Steps
Melt butter in a large pot and flour a little at a time. Stir constantly so the flour does not brown.
Add chicken stock and half and half. Let simmer. Stir occasionally.
Add broccoli, carrot, and onion. Cook until tender. Stir occasionally.
Add salt and pepper to taste and stir in the cheese.
Serve hot with your favorite bread!
