Boozy Frozen Blueberry Lemonade

Active Time: 10 MinsTotal Time4 Hours 10 Mins
Yield: Serves 4 (serving size: 1 cup)

This ultra-refreshing adult drink is tangy and just sweet enough without being overly sweet. It’s incredibly easy to make and achieve this pretty layered look, but beware: the colors bleed quickly as it melts. We’re fans of Califia Farms lemonade because although it’s not labeled “lower sugar” it has fewer added sugars than most mainstream brands. That said, use any lemonade you prefer, or make your own. For a non-alcoholic version of this drink, you can omit the vodka and use extra lemonade.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup fresh blueberries, plus more for garnish
  • 3 cups lower-sugar lemonade (such as Califia Farms)
  • 6 ounces lemon-flavored vodka (such as Deep Eddy), divided
  • 1/4 cup water

How to Make It

Step 1

Place blueberries in freezer. Pour lemonade into silicone ice cube molds; freeze until completely frozen, 4 hours or overnight.

Step 2

Remove ice cubes from molds, and place back in freezer. Process about three-fourths of the frozen lemonade ice cubes and 4 ounces of the lemon-flavored vodka in a blender until completely smooth, agitating if needed, about 1 minute. Pour into 4 glasses; refrigerate until ready to use.

Step 3

Process frozen blueberries, water, remaining one-fourth lemonade ice cubes, and remaining 2 ounces lemon vodka in blender until completely smooth, agitating if needed, about 1 minute. Top each glass of lemonade mixture evenly with blueberry mixture. Garnish with frozen blueberries; serve immediately.
