Easy Pumpkin Beer Bread with Pepitas

  • baking spray
  • 3 cups baking mix
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 ½ teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) bottle pumpkin ale
  • 2 tablespoons pepitas (shelled green pumpkin seeds)
  • Directions

  • Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with baking spray.

  • Step 2

Stir baking mix, white sugar, brown sugar, and pumpkin pie spice together in a bowl. Add beer and stir until smooth. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the top with pepitas.

  • Step 3

Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 50 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • Cook's Note:

I use Bisquick(R) or a homemade baking mix. For the ale, I like Blue Moon(R) Harvest Pumpkin Wheat.
