The fitness expert said questions are snacking are some of the most common queries she deals with from clients and users of her app LEAN. She told Express.co.uk: “This is the one that comes up most.”

Lilly Sabri went on: “In my app, we have the personalised meal plans and people are amazing at sticking to them.

“But it’s in between the meals people struggle with.

The other thing – and I do this as well – it’s after dinner. For me, I need something sweet after dinner, even if it is just a peppermint tea or something.

Lilly, who recently gave Express.co.uk her “simple” tip on how to burn fat, said there “are a few ways to tackle” snacking.

She said: “If you’re going with the more like packet-based stuff, making sure that you’re obviously checking the labels, making sure they’re not packed full of sugar.

“That’s why I brought out my protein bars because they’re super low calorie, but they’re really high protein and low sugar so they’re really, really healthy and they satisfy that sweet craving.”

Then there are a number of pre-prepped snacks Lilly recommends. She likes to prep them in bulk.

She makes a blueberry and white chocolate, or dark chocolate granola, or cranberry granola, or flapjacks.

“I’ll make them in bulk because they’ll last quite a while if you put them in the fridge,” she said.

“My other absolutely amazing one is the banana bread, which is really really good.”

Then there are the snacks you want to make quick, on the go.

Lilly recommended “things like natural yoghurt with some berries and a little bit of honey.”

She said: “I absolutely love that. Another super easy one is the one I mentioned before, just cutting up some apple and having it the peanut butter or almond butter.”

Lilly also shared the diet plan behind her sensational figure.

She has avocado toast with a poached egg or scrambled egg on the side for breakfast.

She often has leftovers for lunch and a meal such as a curry for dinner.
