Weight loss goals are not always easy to achieve but following a healthy diet and including exercise can help. A quick search online can bring back lots of different diet plans which means picking the right one can be tricky. The keto, or ketogenic, is a popular plan where slimmers will cut back on carbs and fill up on fats instead. When following the plan, slimmers must stick to keto-friendly foods in a bid to burn fat.
The ketogenic diet is a high fat, low carbohydrate, moderate protein diet which aims to induce ketosis.

The keto diet plan is where slimmers eat certain foods to encourage the body to start burning fat, nutritionalist Yasmin Musewell, told Express.co.uk.
She said: “The ketogenic diet is a high fat, low carbohydrate, moderate protein diet which aims to induce ketosis.
“This is where the body switches to burning fat for fuel, rather than sugar.”
When following the plan, most dieters will eat less than 25 grams net carbs per day to go into ketosis.
As well as burning more body fat, slimmers will stay feeling full by piling their plates with foods high in healthy fats.
So, what foods can you eat?
When following a keto diet plan, it is important to eat the right foods, Yasmin explained.
“Due to it’s nature, the keto diet mainly includes foods such as meat, eggs, fish and full fat dairy products,” she added.
“Also, low carb fruits and vegetables such as berries, spinach, avocado and mushrooms. Nuts and seeds are a great keto diet friendly snack.”
When following a high fat diet, slimmers are likely to feel fuller and less likely to opt for unhealthy snacks.
However, it is important to ensure you pick healthy fats when trying to slim down in order to see results, an expert explained.
Healthy fats include avocados, nuts, seeds, olives, oily fish and oils.
Slimmers should stay clear of foods high in unhealthy fats including chips, crisps, cakes and low-fat dairy alternatives.
When trying to shape up, combining a healthy diet plan with exercise will help slimmers get results more quickly.
Doing high impact fat burning exercises will target the whole body and help dieters slim down.
