Tying to get rid of belly fat can be a chore but nevertheless, in some cases it’s needed for overall heath. Hannah Barrett, a health adviser from Bupa Health Clinics revealed the best fat-burning exercises for women who want to shed a few pounds.
She said: “Maintaining a healthy weight is important to ensure that you’re not putting yourself at risk of developing heart disease, diabetes or cancer.
“And it starts with introducing regular aerobic and strength-training exercises into your routine.”
She explained that people are “much more likely” to stick to your workouts if they enjoy doing them.
Therefore, they’ll be inclined to do them more regularly.
She suggested trying out activities such as fitness classes, jogging, swimming, team sports or dancing to see what works best.
“Strength-training exercises where you either use a weight or your own body as a weight, are another great way to burn fat, build lean muscle, improve your heart health, metabolism and to increase the strength of your bones, joints and muscles,” Hannah said.
“You should aim to do at least twenty-minutes of strength training twice a week.”
She suggested women try out certain exercises in order to burn away their belly fat fast.

While offering advice on how to shed some weight, Hannah also explained that losing it needs to be done safely.
“If you’re concerned about belly fat, the first thing to do is measure your waist to see whether it’s healthy for you to lose weight,” she said.
“If your waist measures 80cm (31.5 inches) or more, it’s time to target that belly fat.”
And alongside regular exercise, she revealed the key solution for women to effectively trim their waistlines is a combination of different activities.
She explained: “If you have excess belly fat, you might think that sit-ups are the best way to reduce your waist measurements.
“However, whilst sit-ups are great for strengthening and toning up your abdominal muscles, they don’t actually burn that many calories and so aren’t that effective for burning body fat.
“The most effective method to combat your belly fat is to do a combination of aerobic and strength-training exercises on a regular basis.”
She suggested trying out a HIIT workout, which is a good way to combine both strength and aerobic exercise and target that stubborn belly fat.
