Sandi Toksvig weight loss: Bake Off host lost a staggering four stone with this diet plan

Sandi Toksvig is a comedian, writer, actor and television presenter who hosts shows including QI and The Great British Bake Off. Before she landed the role on the show, the star had a larger frame and wore a size 22. By changing what she ate, the popular host managed to turn heads with an impressive four stone weight loss transformation. She also started to exercise every day in a bid to tone up.

In order to lose weight, she opted to follow a specific diet plan which helped her stay focused.

After her partner voiced concerns about her health, Sandi decided it was time to make a change.

The Bake Off host has previously opened up about the diet she followed and cited the Louise Parker plan for her weight loss.

On this plan, slimmers are encouraged to cut out sugar and complex carbs and ensure they exercise regularly.

By following it, Sandi transformed her life and shed four stone in just one year, slimming down to a size 10 in the process.

Speaking in her column for Good Housekeeping, she said: “I’m not quite as thin as I was, but I certainly haven’t put it back on again.

“The wonderful thing is I now have the tools to deal with it. Mostly now I don’t eat carbs – actually I’m not attracted to them any more.”

Although she did not keep off her initial weight loss, Sandi has managed to stay trim and stuck to her healthy eating habits.

“I was never interested in how I look. The number one thing in my whole life is my children and I want to be there for them,” she added.

“At my worst I was a size 22, and at that size you can’t go down the high street and buy yourself things that make you feel good. Your shopping options are limited in a way they aren’t when you are a size 12.”

She was encouraged to start exercising regularly and explained how this helped her fitness improve.

The presenter said: “When I first started I couldn’t touch my knees. Now I can run 5K no problem.”

Celebrity Masterchef host Gregg Wallace slimmed down by eating healthily and exercising regularly. 

Good Morning Britain host, Piers Morgan, has opened up about his weight loss journey over the years. 

Posting pictures on Instagram, the host has given a look into the exercises he uses to stay fit.
