In another study of 19 adults, some were given a diet which was 30 per cent protein and others were given one of ten per cent protein.
Although both groups were allowed to eat as much as they wanted, those on the high-protein plan chose to eat an average of 441 fewer calories each day.
People who use a low-carb plan might choose to follow a high-fat keto diet.
Some studies have shown this can help dieters lose weight up to three times more quickly.
