Ted Danson And Mary Steenburgen Shared Secrets Of Their 25-Year Marriage Including Who Cooks More

Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen have been married for 25 years which is no easy feat, especially in Hollywood. Recently, the power couple discussed some of the secrets behind their happy marriage, and honestly, the rest of us should be taking notes.
The famous duo spoke with People Magazine and the whole thing is straight-up adorable from the jump, with Mary saying that her life “really began” when she met Ted. But what really caught our eyes is some of their relationship advice, especially when it comes to who does what in the kitchen. They couldn’t decide on who is the bigger cook, with Mary initially saying she was but admitting Ted “makes lunches and breakfast much more than I do.”
“So we are going to have to go with me,” Ted replied. We’re guessing Mary is more of a dinner pro then! Honestly, this just proves that happy relationships involve splitting up household duties so much that you can’t even tell who does what more!
In another People article about the couple, they admitted that they had a kind of rocky beginning to their relationship, but that a canoe trip and picnic was important in cementing their romance: “It was very magical,” Ted said. “We came back in love, to be honest, or I’ll say smitten.”
Add in the fact that they also shared that many of their nights involve watching a lot of “dumb crap” on TV and you’ve got the recipe for a happy partnership. You can read both People interviews here and here.
