Meet Cadbury's New Easter 'Bunny,' Henri the Engish Bulldog

Henri, an English bulldog from North Carolina, won a coveted role in Cadbury’s 2019 installment of its iconic Clucking Bunny ad, beating out more than 4,000 other adorable animals—and he looks thrilled.

The chocolate company held its first-ever “Bunny Tryouts” this year and (obviously) Doug the Pug served as an honorary judge. Doug and the other judges must’ve seen something special in Henri, because he’ll be making his commercial debut alongside the O.G. Cadbury Easter Bunny this April.

“When people see the iconic Cadbury Clucking Bunny commercial, they know Easter season is here,” said Katrina Vatter, Marketing Team Member, Cadbury US brand, in a press release. “For the first time in over 35 years, we are honored to expand our tradition and welcome Henri as a new character to the commercial.”

Henri is an aspiring actor, model, and bulldog extraordinaire, according to his Instagram bio. We’re happy to report that he looks slightly more excited about the win in recent posts.

We couldn’t be happier for Henri, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge a few of his worthy opponents. Notably:

Nacho from Tennessee, who somehow looks even less jazzed about the bunny ears than Henri.

And, last but certainly not least: Indigo from Texas, who might’ve been a little too perfect for the part, if ya know what I mean.
