- Two cups dried pasta
- Half a diced medium onion
- Three cloves of minced garlic
- One and 3/4 cup of crushed tomatoes
- One tablespoon of tomato paste
- Half a tablespoon of Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 15-21 ounces of canned chunk tuna in olive oil
- Half a cup of shredded whole milk mozzarella
- A quarter cup of freshly grated parmesan cheese
- Finely chopped fresh basil, to garnish

To start, preheat the oven to 190C, and bring a pot of water to boil before adding the pasta to cook for half the time the box suggests.
Heat a 12-inch cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat, and add one teaspoon of olive oil, the onion and garlic to cook until soft and pungent.
Add the crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning and tomato paste and stir it into the mix, seasoned with salt and pepper.
Then remove the skillet from the heat and add the (drained) pasta, stirring to coat it with the cooked mixture.
Add the drained tuna and lightly mix it in so the chunks don’t disintegrate too much.
Sprinkle the cheese evenly on top and bake it for 25 minutes.
The bake is complete when the pasta has cooked through, and the cheese mixture is bubbly.
