Happy Black Friday, er, Amazon Prime Day. (I always confuse the two … until I remember that it’s the middle of summer!) By now you know the drill: Top brands work with Amazon to come up with ridiculously great markdowns. You know there will be lots of things on sale, but you do not know what those things will be until the sale goes live. And even then, some of these sales are actually pretty hard to find!
That’s why I set my alarm clock (let’s be honest, my phone) to get up at 3 a.m. (Eastern Daylight Time) to dig up the very best deals right when Prime Day starts. Here’s the thing, though — the deals will come and go throughout the day. SO KEEP CHECKING BACK. I will update this post with the best finds as more sales get added. And then I’m going to go to bed early.
Oh, and because Prime Day runs through tomorrow, too (more like Amazon Prime Days, am I right?), there will be even more updates to come. Translation: Just go ahead and bookmark this post as your homepage.
It’s Amazon Prime Day — check out all our sales and deals coverage here.
1. 6-Quart Instant Pot DUO Plus, $56 (normally $100)
If you are STILL holding out on the Instant Pot, this is the time to finally give into its wonders. Because the DUO, which is a step up from the LUX and one of our favorite models, is now on sale. And it’s marked down even more than it was last year for Prime Day. (Just a few bucks, but still!)
The 6-Quart Smart WiFi Instant Pot is also on markdown (for $88 instead of $175), and so is the Instant Ace Cooking Blender ($90, marked down from $150). These discounts will last through all of Prime Day, but you should know that Instant Pot machines have sold out in previous years! (And if you do order an Instant Pot, you might also consider picking up an extra lid and sealing rings.)
2. Echo (2nd Generation) with Amazon Smart Plug, $55 (normally $125)
“Alexa, help me make dinner!” She won’t start chopping onions for you, but get an Echo and she will be able to tell you how many cups are in a quart and what you can sub into a recipe if you don’t have buttermilk. This deal also includes an Amazon Smart Plug ($25 on its own!), which you can use to turn anything into a smart device. The Echo Dot is also now on sale for just $22, if you just want something simple.
3. Dyson Ball Animal 2, $350 (normally $599)
Pricey Dyson vacuums and fans (like this one and this one!) are now on sale for way less (up to 42 percent less, that is!). Why are you reading about vacuums and fans on Kitchn? Because the kitchen is one space where you REALLY need both of these things! This Dyson can suck up any and all crumbs that you drop while cooking/eating, and the fans will help you keep your cool while you’re standing over the stove.
4. iRobot Roomba 980, $550 (normally $899)
Another great vacuum deal, you can save 30 percent or more on iRobot robotic vacuums like this one. You know, in case you want someone else to be doing the vacuuming. A few models are now on sale, including the less expensive 891 model and 690 model.
5. Dash Deluxe Rapid Egg Cooker, $19
This adorable Egg Cooker was a bestseller last year for Prime Day and I expect it will be this year, too. For one, it’s totally adorable. It’s also extremely practical and makes impossibly creamy hard-boiled eggs.
6. 6.5-Quart Crock-Pot Programmable Digital Slow Cooker, $82 (normally $100)
For as much love as the Instant Pot gets, it’s not for everyone and some people just want a slow cooker. Hard stop. This is still a top-of-the-line option with programmable settings and automatic stirring system.
7. Keurig K-Mini Single Serve Coffee Maker Bundle, $50 (normally $80)
The smallest Keurig to ever exist, this little guy is great for anyone with teeny tiny kitchen, kids headed off to college, or those who already have a few other brewing methods in the rotation. As a little added bonus, the machine comes with12 Colombia Medium Roast Coffee K-Cup pods from AmazonFresh.
8. Brita 10-Cup Everyday Water Pitcher, $25 (normally $35)
If you’ve been meaning to drink more water, this pitcher might help you hit that goal. Especially for those of us who prefer it cold. This pitcher can hold up to 10 cups, comes with a filter, and will be on sale now through 4 a.m. (Eastern Daylight Time) on Tuesday.
9. AmazonBasics 6-Quart Enameled Cast Iron Covered Dutch Oven, $32 (normally $45)
Of course Amazon makes its very own Dutch ovens! They’re good, too: This red one has 4.6 stars from reviewers. And at a fraction of the price of Le Creuset, it’s worth a shot, no?
10. BUILT NY Large Welded Cooler, $150 (normally $180)
This serious-but-still-cute portable cooler means business. It can hold up to 30 pounds of ice and has comfy handles and straps to help you get it to the beach or through a hike.
11. De’Longhi 15 Bar Espresso Machine with Advanced Cappuccino System, $96 (normally $120)
Note: This is a Lightning Deal so it’s not on sale yet (but De’Longhi reps said it wasn’t embargoed and we were free to share the news with you guys!). If you’re in the market for a pro-level espresso machine, set a reminder for 8:30 a.m. (Eastern Daylight Time) when this goes on sale. It’ll be on markdown until 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
