Dalgona coffee is a coffee beverage which is made using instant coffee powder, sugar, milk and hot water.

This indulgent delicacy can also be topped off with a sprinkling of coffee powder, cocoa, honey or even crumbled biscuits.

Although the drink looks like the creation of a trained barista, it is actually fairly simple to make from the comfort of your own home.

The drink is made by whipping two teaspoons of instant coffee together with equal measures of sugar and hot water.

The aim is to whip until the concoction becomes thick and creamy.

One top tip is mixing it consistently with a spoon for three minutes to achieve the best results.

Others have experimented with an electric whisk to speed things up.

You then pour it over icy cold or hot milk, depending on your temperature of choice.

On a summers day, pour over ice cubes for extra chill.

If you fancy testing your baking skills, a slice of banana bread could be the perfect thing to compliment a delicious Dalgona coffee.

The great news is, just like the coffee-based beverage, banana bread also used few ingredients.

Bakers simply need to have bananas, condensed milk and self-raising flour in their cupboards.

To make the delicious banana bread, you must mix five mashed bananas, one tin of condensed milk and 320g of self-raising flour together.

Then pour it into a lined cake tin.

Next, you must add 3cm of water to the bottom of your slow cooker before you place the cake tin inside.

Then place a tea towel under the lid and cook the banana bread on high for two hours.

Slice up and enjoy alongside your Dalgona coffee for a delicious lockdown treat.
