Have you ever looked at a bunch of IKEA hacks and sat there in amazement? How do these creative people come up with these ideas? Yeah, us too. For those of us who’d never even think of painting a table, there’s still hope. Turns out, there are plenty of Etsy finds that’ll help transform all sorts of IKEA stuff. Here are seven ways to update kitchen gear so that you can fun up your space and trick your friends into thinking you are, in fact, a creative genius.
1. Replacement Slipcover for IKEA Henriksdal Chair or Bar Stool, from $69 at FreshCanopy
It’s hard to beat the HENRIKSDAL chairs and bar stools. We just wish they came in more fun colors and patterns. Of course, the sewing wizards over at Etsy are here to help. You’ll find a bunch of options here; we’re partial to this one in abstract dots.
2. Sliding Caddy Tray for Ikea Raskog Cart, $31 at CarriageWoodworks
The RÅSKOG cart is basically the best thing to happen to kitchen storage since the bread box. (There are so many ways to put it to good use!) We thought there’d be more accessories for it on Etsy, but we do love what we found from CarriageWoodworks. In addition to this sliding caddy (which can be used to hold utensils, tools, and more) the shop also has a cart topper, which help increase usable workspace in your kitchen.
3. Decals for IKEA Kallax, from $35 at StickersColoray
If you have a KALLAX shelving unit, you need to know about these cute decals. They’re perfectly sized to cover the doors and instantly add some flare to your space. If you’re gonna hide clutter, you may as well do it behind a super-cute closed door. This shop has a bunch of patterns and colors to choose from.
4. Furniture Stripes, $24 at cutnpasteshop
Wanna fun up your IKEA cabinets? Why not add some stripes? You can order them in 34 different colors. Just make sure you put them on nice and straight!
5. Furniture Overlays Fretwork Panels, from $47 at HomeArtStickers
Upgrade a BESTA cabinet to look like custom furniture with these overlays. They come in all sorts of styles, materials, and finishes. (There are even mirrored optioned!)
6. IKEA High Chair Cushion Cover, from $22 at PossumAndPear
Dress up your kid’s ANTILOP high chair with a custom cushion cover. Right now, there are four trendy patterns to pick from, but you can message the seller, as you might be able to pick something even more custom.
7. Black & Gold Floral Printed Backsplash for Ikea DUKTIG Play Kitchen, $36 at EggsForBreakfastShop
This shop can change your kid’s IKEA play kitchen into an Insta-worthy grown-up one. Want something a little more playful? There’s also this fun shop that’ll help you turn the kitchen into an ice cream shop.
