20 of the Most Popular Kitchens of All Time from Our Friends at Apartment Therapy

Here’s a fun fact for you: Our sister website, Apartment Therapy, publishes a new House Tour every single day! That’s good news for us here at Kitchn, because that means there’s no shortage of kitchen inspiration to go around. Out of curiosity, we did a little digging through the archives to pull out the most popular AT House Tour kitchens of all time and, wouldn’t you know, these just happened to be our favorites, too.

And so without any further ado, here are 20 of the most popular kitchens, in no particular order.

1. A Retro, Colorful, Kitschy Kitchen

Bec, who owns The Sugar Shack, channels a “retro, gypsy, kitsch, flea market/junkyard style with a definite surf shack vibe.” This kitchen is so cute that she even rents it out for photoshoots! Her favorite DIY element is the vintage wallpaper in the kitchen on the wall above the sink.

4. A Stunning, Modern Melbourne Home

“Australia has a really light, playful aesthetic and it’s a big inspiration for my interior style in the house,” says Alex, a founder of Kip&Co. To no one’s surprise, the kitchen is her favorite room. We are obsessed with the massive pink concrete island and the brass — yes, brass — cabinets.

This orange fridge-and-stove duo from Big Chill is making us want to throw everything we ever thought we knew about kitchen design out the window. Stainless steel seems so boring now!

13. A Small Studio Kitchen in Los Angeles

We love the simplicity of this California kitchen. You won’t find tons of bells or whistles, and that’s on purpose. “Our tastes are very old-world; I think they were formed in another century entirely — maybe 1890s. We tend to gravitate away from most modern objects, excepting those which I make/repurpose or those that are extremely simple/utilitarian,” says owner Meghan.
